Barking dogs and screaming kids!

I went to a friends for new years and took the 2 dogs with me, ops I mean the dog and the boyfriend (note who comes first in the sentence)
We had a lovely roast dinner and I made scones for an after dinner treat with coffee.
We played a few games of BUZZ, a ps2 game I seem to be addicted to, then it got close to midnight, it was raining cats and dogs so the fireworks started late but it was far from quiet.
The dogs were actually rather well behaved only barking a few times but it was the children woken up from a deep sleep that got our attention, poor little things they must have thought the house was getting blown up, all in all it was a quiet relaxing begin to 2007.
