What a weekend, it was cold, it snowed, it was busy yet it was quiet, strange but true.
Seeing I do not have my daughter on December 5 we celebrated the Dutch version of Christmas this weekend. December 5 is the birthday of the Sint, as I said the Dutch version of Christmas, children wake up to gifts, gifts in their shoe that they set aside for the Sint, usually they place a carrot and some hay for the horse of the Sint maybe a cookie for the Sint himself and a drink. 8am I had my daughter jumping on the bed saying the Sint had visited and there started the Saturday, we visited her grandparents and had a great day.
In the evening we went for a 40minute walk into the city and she went shopping then back again after a stop at a cafe for a hot chocolate.
Today it snowed and we visited the horse camp (a retirement home for horses that she donates her pocket money to)We also made pictures for the Christmas cards and enjoyed the snow today, anyway that is that my weekend.
