How the heck do you do it??

Ok I will just bluntly beg you for help and information, no use beating around the bush right?
How do you all get an amazing realrank?
How are you getting the traffic?
How the heck are you all getting them payperposts and socialsparks?
Ok I will day it, my blog is crappy, I sit here and vent and ramble on about bugger all.
I do the entrecard drops, I do the blogexplosion thing and I am pretty darned sure I am behind in the times.
Being stuck over this side of the world and no real friends who know about the blogging world I am left on my own to cruise and research myself, and I think I have done pretty good so far!
So please please please, what is the darned secret? is it is secret? if I open my eyes is it going to bite me on the nose?

I'm just new in the blogging world with no real rank to speak of as of the moment...but here's what's working for me in terms of traffic:

1. comment on the sites you visit.
2. participate in blog events.
3. join blog communities and forums...and participate in the discussions.

...soon you'll get a good share of traffic. :)

I have been managing 3 blogs for over a year, and all I can say is that it takes time and patience.
Gin gave great advice, and comments are huge, but bee careful not to spam. Start by reading a group of blogs and build a community of people that way.
PS, do you pen pal? I am looking for pen pals in other countries ;) Drop me an email.

Great advice Gin. Those are pretty much the basics. I've been blogging for two months and have done just that. Just remember patience and hard work and you will be rewarded in the end.

Now as far as PPP and SS I don't think there is a secret other than placing your blog in good categories and being logged in at the "right time" to get the good opportunities.

Hei there I am from Australia as well. I dont have any answers really. I think that content is King and that networking and linking with other bloggers and making comments on their blogs is important. Networking in the same way you do in business, keep at it but its time consuming. Come visit me sometime because I dont know of many Aussie blogs and they dont seem to be that into networking other than a few.

The only thing I can add to gin's great advice is update your blog often and shoot for interesting writing. People love interesting posts.
