"when I grow up" reality hits

Over the last few days I am less then impressed with blogger and the problems it is having. Last night I was unable to post anything! Bad bad bad blogger now my Thursday 13's are on Friday! (growls now I can't upload pictures)

things I wanted to do, be or happen "when I grow up"

1. When I was 5 I wanted to be a fireman.
NOW I just look and drool at them

2. In 1986 when I seen haleys comet I wanted to ride on it and also told my father I will see it again with him ,that will be in 2062 my father will be 116.
NOW I realize we all do not live forever.

3. While growing up in a big family I always said I wanted 5 children.
NOW I realize I can only afford about 2 but still want 5.

4. Around the age of 10 I said I wanted to be a vet.
NOW I dislike the sight of blood.

5. I wanted to swim in the Olympics for my country.
NOW I know I am to fat and old!

6. I dreamt of being rich and famous to help people less fortunate then me.
NOW I know there is also a lot you can do without the money or the popularity helas money makes the world turn.

7. I wanted to be just like my mum.
NOW I realize she is self absorbed, ignorant person who only thinks of herself and I would never desire to be like her

8. When I was 6 I wanted to marry my best friend at school Errol.
NOW I realize the wedding we held at lunch time at the back of the play ground where I picked weeds and had a while towel on my head was not real!

9. I wanted to stay awake every Christmas night to see Santa and ride in his sledge and I believed he ate the cookies and drank the milk.
NOW I realize it was my father doing it and now I have to eat the cookie and drink the milk every Christmas eve! ( I am going to start leaving whiskey for Santa)

10. When I use to watch F1 with my father I said to him I will be the first female F1 driver. NOW I realize that attempting to race on the highways cost a lot in speeding fines!

11. When I was 14 I wanted to become a chef.
NOW I realized I dislike it and this I learnt after 4 years of university and 8 years of working as a chef cook !

12. When I was younger we use to spend the summer vacation at my grandma's and grandpas and we were told children come from the cabbage patch, I always use to go out in the cabbage patch every morning to see if a baby was born.
NOW I realize this is not true after giving birth myself and I also know its is not as bad as everyone states it to be (giving birth not growing cabbages)

13. I Dreamed of a prince sweeping me of my feet and living happily ever after.
NOW I still dream it
