Yesterday a lovely day, cold wind but the sun was shining. Saturday is usually the day I do groceries, I thought I would go to the market to get my fresh vegetables for the week. When parking I have seen the parking attendants handing out fines because people are not paying for their parking tickets even though its only 1 euro an hour. So off I went to get a parking ticket, placed it in my car window so the attendants can see it so I am not fined. Low and behold, guess what I saw when I had finished getting my vegetables?
A police car without a parking ticket. The pictures I took are not the best, you can't see the date or time but you can surely see they did not pay for their parking! So when they are out buying their donuts and lunch at the Saturday market are they above the law? Do they not have to pay for their parking like everyone else?

Well if Holland is anything like the good ole USA...the police are above the law and will do whatever they dang well please!
Oh, forgot to say.... Although I do think its kinda stupid to have to pay to park at the grocery store and you guys even have to pay to use the shopping buggy (or trolley as you call it). Of course if they'd install that policy here, there'd be a lot less damage to cars in the parking lots from shopping buggies ramming into them!
